Screen Media acquires the US rights from Double Dutch International to the animated feature Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer. The film’s voice cast includes Josh Hutcherson, John Cleese, Samantha Bee, Martin Short, Morena Baccarin, and Jeff Dunham. Cleese is the newest joinee in the team who is a member of Monty Python and repped by CAA, Anonymous Content and Independent Talent Group. The film is directed by Jennifer Westcott from her own story script where a determined miniature horse travels to the North Pole with his pal Hazel which is a goat to win a place in Santa’s celebrated sleigh team. Both of them are set out to prove that no dream is too big if you believe in yourself. This film is based on a multi-award-winning Canadian screenplay which focus on what happens after Blitzen suddenly announces his retirement days before Christmas.
The film is produced by Lucas Lynette-Krech and Awesometown Entertainment in association with Elgin Road Productions. The deal was negotiated by Needle and Double Dutch International’s Jason Moring and Mark Padilla. Elevation Pictures is expected to distribute the film in Canada.
