The friendly monsters from the hotel are back, the sequel of the Sony Pictures Animation’ hit animated flick Hotel Transylvania, is out in theatres and if we go by the buzz around the movie, estimated weekend numbers are to be close to $45 million.
The experience does not end once you are out of theatres. Reliance Games, in collaboration with Sony Pictures have announced a Hotel Transylvania 2 mobile game, where players can create, customize monster lands and express their unique identity in a world where monsters and humans unite. The game will be available for free on iPhone, iPad & iPod touch and Google Play for Android devices. The film, from Sony Pictures Animation, will be released in theatres nationwide on September 25.
Players have to build their own monster hotels, decorate it and call people to their hotels and villages to the ultimate monster party. Characters like Drac, Mavis, Mummy, Frank and Dennis have their own quests which help to build a fantastic monster land.
“Hotel Transylvania 2 lets you play as your favorite movie character in an immersive and exciting game. Players can build, customize & decorate their haunted world, enjoy action packed quests, participate in fun events and share social experiences with their friends and families”, said Reliance Entertainment Digital, CEO, Amit Khanduja.
The game is filled with a series of quests and each character has certain number of tasks to complete and build different structures for the hotel. New buildings and characters can be unlocked as the game progresses and special characters can be unlocked using special items.
Building generate coins over time, players can expand hotel grounds or construct new buildings. Construction of new buildings and completing task take time, but one can skip those with in-app currency. Players can purchase premium items which include decorations and buildings, with these buildings also offering new characters for the game.
