A creative director like Rajamouli has decided to pull all the stops in providing the best Indian cinema experience to the world with his next directorial venture in Baahubali. This epic war film idea has now turned into a Rs 100+ crore investment with visual effects playing the bigger role than any other hero inside the movie, also having the VFX maestro Srinivas Mohan only helps in bringing the much needed expertise in a project of this magnitude.
The real story behind the delayed release is the massive use of VFX in the war sequences. We hear that studios from India, South Korea and China are playing a key role in delivering visual effects for the movie.
Certain war sequences are being done in South Korea, while Chinese companies are rendering and compositing the output. Indian counterparts are busy delivering interior scenes and song visual effects. At present director Rajamouli and producer Shobu are busy in Seoul, South Korea, pushing their VFX teams to meet deadlines, quality and elements to be in check.
Almost 3/4th of the budget is rumored to be poured into visual effects for an epic war film like this to look authentic. To deliver such stuff, sometimes it will take more time than the one chalked on board, but one can always vouch for Rajamouli’s work given his credentials.
