Prayan Animation Studio has appointed Sumedha Saraogi as its international business development and strategic partnership consultant, bringing an experienced international media and entertainment professional into the studio’s next phase of growth.
Saraogi brings extensive experience in international business development, sales, marketing and strategic partnerships, having worked across global media and entertainment markets throughout her career. Her experience across international markets and her network within the global entertainment industry will support Prayan as it expands its business relationships and explores new opportunities.
For Prayan, the appointment comes at an important point in the studio’s journey. Since its establishment in 2012, the company has built its reputation primarily through animation production, working with international studios, producers and content owners. Today, with a team of more than 100 artists and experience across television, digital and educational content, Prayan is looking to build on that foundation and take a broader role within the international entertainment ecosystem.
“Prayan has spent the past 14 years building a strong production foundation and long-term relationships with international partners. As we look ahead, we see opportunities to build on that foundation by engaging more closely with the wider entertainment business, developing strategic partnerships and exploring new avenues for growth. Sumedha’s experience and understanding of international markets will be valuable as we take these steps,” Prayan Animation Studio CEO Vinayan shared.
The studio is expanding its focus beyond production services to explore opportunities in strategic partnerships, distribution, acquisitions, licensing, and merchandising. The objective is not simply to expand into new areas, but to develop stronger relationships with companies and creators with whom Prayan can build long-term collaborations.
In her new role, Saraogi will work closely with Prayan’s leadership to identify new markets and opportunities, develop international partnerships and strengthen the studio’s engagement with producers, content owners and other industry stakeholders.
The appointment represents a significant step in Prayan’s evolution as it builds on more than a decade of production experience and looks to create a broader international presence across the animation and entertainment business.
