Tamil Nadu’s leading VFX studio has opened a branch in Mumbai. Mumbai known for being home to India’s biggest film industry is definitely a strategic location for South India’s ace studio that has worked on a ton of domestic and international projects in the past. The studio recently worked on Rana Daggubatti starrer multi-lingual movie Kaadan titled Aranya in Telugu and Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi.
Announcing the news on their social media handles, PhantomFX shared, “We never stop dreaming! Our new branch is almost ready for operations! PhantomFX is expanding its wings into Mumbai, the city of dreams. We are launching our studio at Andheri West from tomorrow. Hearty thanks to all supporters and well-wishers.”
The clogged pipelines due to the onset of the outbreak of Covid-19 had shaken the VFX industry due to restrictions on large gatherings but as things are improving and new content is getting made, the industry is in a flux and many studios are opening outposts across the country. OTT channels are also roping in talent from all corners and are creating an enormous library of premium originals which has VFX work. At the same time, movies have picked up the momentum which has also led to an increase in the demand for post production services.
Speaking to AnimationXpress, PhantomFX founder and CEO Bejoy Arputharaj shared, “Booming movie business after the pandemic, and a diversity of talent pool got us to make a choice to focus on Mumbai.”
PhantomFX is a TPN Certified, full-fledged creative studio that provides high-end visual effects solutions for commercials, feature films, and television media globally. The studio offers all sorts of creative VFX works, ranging from final compositing and roto to creating 3D Elements, photo real creatures and environments, 3D matchmove, and Animations.
We wish PhantomFX the best for their operations in Mumbai and we hope to see some fantastic VFX gracing the celluloid in the coming days.
