Award-winning animation company Omens Studios has secured a multi-season commission from Singapore’s national public broadcaster MediaCorp to produce two brand-new series based on its hit international IPs 123 Number Squad and Leo the Wildlife Ranger. The deal includes three seasons of 123 Number Squad spin off series Paula & Pals and four seasons of a refreshed version of Leo the Wildlife Ranger, which picks up where season two of the original show ends.
Paula & Pals (68 x 7’) sees characters from 123 Number Squad take on activities in their neighbourhood Numberville, as well as other wonderful worlds such as a magical garden, the jungles and a Treasure Island. Aimed at three to six years old, the new spin-off will focus on social and emotional development, respect, kindness and diversity, as well as on interacting with others, communication skills and taking responsibility for our actions, all against the backdrop of fun missions and exciting locations. The original 123 Number Squad series is currently airing on Sky in the UK, MediaCorp in Singapore, as well as Youku in China, and has a focus on numeracy.
The new refreshed seasons of Leo the Wildlife Ranger (80 x 10’) focus on Junior Rangers Leo and Katie, along with their pet dog Hero, as they go on fun-filled adventures around the globe to protect wildlife and uncover interesting facts about the natural world. The action-packed series is aimed at three to seven year olds and provides young audiences with zoology facts, teaches environmental awareness and nature conservation and helps build social skills and teamwork. The updated series will see development of the popular characters, exciting new gadgets, new animals, as well as more comedy and fun facts sprinkled throughout.
Both series are currently in pre-production and production, slated for completion and delivery in 2024.
