How many of you have had broken the keys of your Nokia 6110’s but have still played the Snake game like there was no tomorrow? Good news as the creator of the original mobile game Snake is making a new Snake game – but the reboot has a twist to it. The elongated pixel snake feeding on the pixel food will be back on the major mobile phone platforms starting 14 May.
The new game will be called ‘Snake Rewind’. True to its new name, the game includes a rewind function that lets you continue the game after crashing, taking the snake back in time before the crash happened.
Helmed by Taneli Armanto, the designer of the original game promises iconic elements and intuitive gameplay from the original, along with new effects and features.
One of things that the fans may miss in today’s touchscreen generation is the physical keyboard of the Nokia phones which we all have enjoyed mashing up throughout the feature phone era, but with the reboot and a whole new game design the same old magic might just appear on mobile screens again.
Snake Rewind will include 10 levels, Facebook connectivity, and a fruit store where player can buy boosters.
