The Indian eSports scene is taking one step ahead at a time and more and more events (opportunities) are springing up for aspiring players. The Electronic Sports World Cup 2016 or ESWC is another event that Indian eSports enthusiasts would be looking forward to as NODWIN Gaming has just announced the Indian qualifiers for this year’s edition of the event.
The qualifier will bring forth seven individuals across three video game titles who will represent India while competing against the best eSports professionals from various nations across the world at ESWC 2016.
A statement in this regard on their website read, “We are excited to announce the return of premium slots for Indian esports professionals for the upcoming Electronics Sports World Championship 2016. This will be another chance for our teams to establish their dominance against world’s top champions, along with winning a share of $75,000 prize pool at the grand LAN finale at Paris expo Porte de Versailles, Paris starting on 27 October. However, this time around is not just about CS:GO as other game titles are also going to be included in the qualifiers.”

Counter Strike Global Offensive
The Indian CS:GO qualifier consists of three phases – Open Online Qualifiers, Online Playoffs, LAN Finals.
Open Online Qualifier
Held on 16 and 17 September.
Registration on Toornament.com.
All matches are Best-of-1 Single Elimination.
Quarter-finals Best-of-3.
Top 4 teams advance to Online Playoffs.
Restrictions:
Teams are required to send digital copies (XEROX/Scan) of valid Indian Passports for all 5 individual participants toops@nodwingaming.com at the time of registration.
Teams are also not allowed to make any changes in their roster after their registrations, violation of which will result in immediate disqualification.
Online Playoffs
Held on Sunday, 18 September.
Top 4 qualifying teams matched up with 4 top teams invited from India.
All matches are Best-of-3 Single Elimination.
Top 4 teams advance to LAN finals.
LAN Finals
Thursday, 22 September.
Organised at NODWIN Gaming Head Office, Gurgaon.
All matches are Best of 3 Single Elimination.
Winner represents India in ESWC 2016 happening in October at Paris and will be sponsored flight and accommodation for the finals.
The other two games which are included in the qualifiers are FIFA and Clash Royal and one player from each game will be selected. The details (schedules) for the qualifiers of the other two games have not been disclosed yet.
