Nickelodeon is ready to celebrate the 100th episode of its top-ranking kids’ series, The Loud House. Premiering today, the milestone episode A Star Is Scorned centers on Lola, who ropes Lily into her plans to break into show business with a double-dose of cuteness.
The Loud House, which debuted in 2016, ranks as TV’s #2 animated series with Kids two to 11 and six to 11, second only to Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants. The comedic adventures of 11-year-old Lincoln Loud and his 10 sisters were recently greenlit for a fifth season.
The series, created by Chris Davino for Nickelodeon revolves around the chaotic everyday life of a boy named Lincoln Loud, who is the middle child and only son in a large family of 11 children. It is set in a fictional town in southeastern Michigan called Royal Woods, based on Savino’s hometown of Royal Oak.
The show has even expanded into comic books, a digital album, game app, its own podcast and a spin-off series, The Casagrandes. In May 2017, the characters of Lincoln Loud and Clyde McBride were featured on the front cover of Variety as an example of diverse characters in children’s television. A feature film based on the series is also in development to be released on Netflix in 2021.
