Summer vacations are an exciting time of the year for kids. The much awaited break brings along time to indulge in their favourite activities and catch up on TV shows. The widely known kid’s entertainment channel, Cartoon Network, has plans to provide kids with special programs.
They have introduced their special summer programming for the month of May for its young audience. The channel has lined up three exclusive movie premieres – Billu Gamer, Pette The Prince and Mighty Raju: Rio to Goa. Along with these premieres, the channel will also showcase fresh episodes of The Powerpuff Girls, Lai Bhaari Oggy and Sir Haddi Sir.
First up, the channel will premiere Billu Gamer on Sunday, 1 May, 2016 at 11 am. The movie is about a young boy Patty, who is very fond of playing video games, and Billu, his all-time favourite gaming character, who comes to life and becomes his close buddy. The story follows their adventures in a medley on reel and real life.
Next up, Pette The Prince is a movie based around a pampered young brat, born in a royal family as the sole heir to his father’s throne. Keji, the head of ministers tries to jeopardise the young prince’s safety as he eyes the royal throne. The prince must brave everything to survive. The movie will be aired on 22 May at 11 am and 6 pm.
Third on the line is the new movie of the popular Mighty Raju. He comes back with a new adventure that lands him up in Goa. Mighty Raju, who had a splendid adventure in Rio, gets an invitation from Gopi to attend a Carnival in Goa. But right from the moment he lands at the airport, Raju springs into action while saving his friends and himself. Mighty Raju: Rio To Goa will be aired on 28 May at 11 am and 6 pm.
Apart from these, Cartoon Network has lined up a special summer segment called ‘The Big Summer Ride’ where Kris and Oggy will come together to greet and treat the kids every morning, Monday to Friday from 10 am to 12 pm.
Cartoon Network is also set to bring back their all-time favourite shows, Sir Haddi Sir and Lai Bhaari Oggy every evening from 5 pm to 6 pm from Monday to Friday along with the new series of The Powerpuff Girls, which made a comeback after a span of 11 long years, every weekend at 9 am.
