After winning millions of hearts across the globe, the insanely cute, adorable yellow creatures, who are commonly spotted sporting blue dungarees, Minions are once again on a mission to steal the show and this time in an animated short. Universal Pictures have released Illumination Entertainment’s new short, ‘The Competition’ a day before it’s Digital HD release (that’s launching today, 24 November).
The Minions movie that hit the screens on 17 June this year, has paved its way to the top 10 highest grossing film of all time and has earned a sweet 2nd spot as a highest grossing animated film by earning $1.1 billion worldwide. To celebrate this, the Minions movie has revealed one of the three short films that are included on the home entertainment releases.
In this short, we can see the notorious villains, Stuart and Bob, sitting idle in their Secret Bomb Lab when they unknowingly start creating a ruckus in the peaceful environment. They start off competing against one another and creating a havoc out of it. The 4 minute video will make one laugh their guts out as we see them trying to outdo one another; be it in throwing paper balls, wrestling or being the fastest. Kevin also stars in it for a couple of seconds as we see him conducting an explosive experiment which gets extinguished by these two troublemakers.
There are two more shorts (titled “Cro-Minion” and “Binky Nelson Unpacified”) that will be available with the feature Minions movie that will later arrive as a Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on 8 December and is set to be available via On Demand that same day.
