New ‘Kong: Skull Island’ trailer welcomes you to the land of mythical monsters

The previous trailer of Kong: Skull Island left us all excited and wanting for more, more information about the movie that is. With a backdrop of 1970s, the first trailer showcased a band of scientists and military personnel reaching a newly discovered island in the South Pacific and things don’t go as expected as they are about to encounter the beast himself. However, we were left with only with hints and a silhouette of Kong.

Now, with the new trailer released, it is shown that the island is bombed for some data research and is termed quirkily as ‘Scientific injury’, but they never knew the titanic Kong would step in. Stranded on the Island and lead by Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Shea Whigham and Toby Kebbell must act swiftly and assist the leader in finding his brother and a mythical serum.

With the VFX effects in full force, the new trailer displayed a lot of mighty, mythical beasts which seem to be in abundance on ‘Skull Island’. While Kong has been portrayed to be on the ‘good side’, the island is plagued by creatures who live underground, the ‘skull crawlers’.

The first trailer left very few scope of comic relief, but the second trailer surely does the job for the comic part. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and scripted by John Gatins and Max Borenstein, the movie is being produced by Legendary’s John Jashni and Thomas Tull, along with Mary Parent.

The VFX has been done by Industrial Light & Magic and Shade VFX and is slated to release on 10 March, 2017.
