Nearly two months have passed since Marvel finally dropped the first official glimpse into Avengers: Endgame, the culminating feature of a 10-year long saga, and yet we have no clue whatsoever about the events that would unfold, for it was merely a teaser trailer more than anything.
But now, for all the clamouring for more hints and sneak-peeks into the movie, it is widely rumored that another teaser is about to drop during Sunday’s Superbowl game between Los Angeles and New England.
The Superbowl matches have become an annual occasion for movie-makers to drop trailers of its upcoming big releases, and Marvel would be merely following suit of releasing Avengers: Infinity War teaser last year, if it indeed screens a clip from its upcoming magnum opus at the weekend.
Marvel chose to keep the cards close to their chest with that highly dubious teaser in December that merely shades the gloom and doom which our heroes, as expected, are ruminating in, in the aftermath of Thanos’ infamous snap. And it’s plausible, given the stakes involved here and the cliffhanger that its predecessor left us in.
But all the anxious fans would finally get some more Avengers pie to slice through and dissect this Sunday, though one shouldn’t expect too much reveal on this occasion too.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame will release on 3 May 2019.
