Independent Producer, Nevision announces today that pre-eminent industry executives Nigel Pickard and Sharon Bloom are working with the London-based company which specialises in the development, production and international exploitation of high end television drama and non-scripted programming.
Nigel is joining the Nevision Board, working with the founding team which includes CEO James Cabourne alongside industry executives Neil Zeiger, Keith Evans and Tim Buxton.
Nigel joins Nevision with a wealth of experience in international television. He was most recently CEO of UK Kids and Family and CEO of Zodiak Middle East, Asia and Australasia, following Zodiak’s acquisition of RDF Media. Prior to that, Nigel held senior broadcasting positions within the UK industry as Director of Programmes at ITV and Controller of Children’s at the BBC. His career has included roles in production as a film editor, director and producer. Nigel is a senior executive and Board member of Dial Square 86 and President of new on-line distribution platform TRX.
Sharon Bloom has worked as both a Producer and Executive Producer for BBC and ITV and has a track record in producing award-winning dramas including Peak Practice, Sweet Medicine, Anybody’s Nightmare, Murder in Suburbia and Margery and Gladys. Most recently, Sharon has produced the last three seasons of Silent Witness, consistently one of the BBC’s highest rated series. She will be developing a significant slate of high end drama projects for the global market.
