Netflix’s upcoming Marvel mini-series superheroine, Jessica Jones gets a free digital comic

Marvel has left no stones unturned to have its presence everywhere; be it in comics, movies or miniseries. With Daredevil’s mini-series already released on Netflix earlier this year, Jessica Jones is all set to make her debut in the upcoming month. To create a buzz around her, Marvel has launched a free 12 page one-shot comic issue which is available on ComiXology and Marvel’s own digital comic store.

JonesThis Jessica Jones comic focuses on the connections between the various Marvel’s Defenders series on Netflix. The Defenders series will be featuring superheroes like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. With these characters getting their own small screen space, Marvel plans to spread their Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and so we will get to see each of these heroes getting introduced to viewers on Netflix.

The new book reunites the creative team behind Alias, the 2001 comic book series in which Jessica Jones first appeared. The comic is written by Brian Michael Bendis and has been sketched by Michael Gaydos with David Mack providing cover artwork.

In the issue we can see, Jessica being introduced as a private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC where we can clearly see that Jones has no problem with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’s particular brand of justice.

Marvel has been releasing 50 seconds teaser trailers of Jessica Jones which stars Krysten Ritter who can be seen going about with her daily schedul. The show stars Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss and David Tennant and debuts on Netflix Nov. 20.
