Netflix premieres DreamWorks Animation’s season 2 of ‘Dinotrux’; set to launch second season of ‘The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show’

Debuted last year on Netflix, DreamWorks Animation’s Dinotrux which is an animated television series got a second season under its hood that premiered yesterday. The series is based on Chris Gall’s illustrated children’s book series, which features a fictional prehistoric world inhabited by hybrid characters that are part dinosaur and part mechanical construction vehicle.

The Mesozoic Era continues in Season 2 of Dinotrux as it premiered exclusively on Netflix. This season Dinotrux introduced tons of cool new species and characters, one being the Hex Wrenchtools – the hilarious and familiar looking Ottos – a highly-organized and adventurous bunch. They have swiveling wrench heads, perfect for builds and repairs, and magnetic claws made for gripping metal and climbing rock.

The other new characters and species in this season are ‘Rollodon’ (Montanoceratops + Steamroller). They are basically, Steamrollers crossed with Chasmosaurs and the Rollodons are always on the move, migrating in herds like wild buffalo and flattening everything in their path. Then there’s Gluphosaur (Dilophosaurs + Glue Guns) who are lightning fast and fiercely protective of their treasured green ore. Towaconstrictor (Snake + Tow Chains) are slithering metallic snakes of the Mechazoic World who can cause trouble for anyone who ventures too close to their nest in The Dark Forest. And Scraptor with Giant Horn, sun-bleached and with crooked metal horns growing out of their heads, these desert scraptors hide underground, using ore to lure unwitting Trux to their secret trap doors where they pounce out and attack.

With Dinotrux’s season two being already launched, DreamWorks Animation’s yet another animated series is going to premiere on Netflix. The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show is set to premiere on 18 March on Netflix.
