Nebula Esports have landed their biggest prize yet, powering through 18 grand finals matches to lift the BGMI Masters Series S5 trophy.
The team finished top of the standings with 210 points after three days of high-pressure action, taking home Rs 40 lakh from the tournament’s Rs 1 crore-plus prize pool. Gladiators Esports settled for second with 189 points and Rs 15 lakh, while iQOO Orangutan finished third on 187 points with Rs 6 lakh.
The S5 grand finals brought the final 16 teams together for a three-day showdown. Every placement mattered, every elimination counted and the leaderboard refused to sit still.
Nebula eventually broke clear. The champions recorded 116 finishes and four Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCDs), turning a strong opening two days into a title-winning finish.
Nebula Esports captain Aditya Dawar aka Aadi commented, “BGMS is one of the biggest stages for esports in India, so winning our first major trophy here feels surreal. We have always believed this team has the ability to push the game forward, and taking a massive lead across the first two days of the LAN finale gave us the confidence to stay true to our approach on the final day. Lifting the trophy in front of a live crowd made the achievement even more memorable.”
The grand finals also produced the season’s individual winners. Yash “Knowme” Negi, of Nebula Esports was named BGMS S5 MVP for recording the most eliminations across the Grand Finals. His prize included the MVP trophy and a TVS bike.
Mohammed Kaif Gulhamid “Hunterz” Khan, of Genesis Esports was named the Most Wicked Player of the season for registering the most eliminations across the tournament. He received a TVS Raider bike.
Off the battlefield, BGMS S5 was no slouch either. The tournament crossed 26m views and 11m watch hours, with peak concurrent viewership topping 430,000, including watch parties.
The season ran through the league stage, super weekend, playoffs and grand finals, bringing India’s leading BGMI teams and players into a competition that kept the pressure on from start to finish.
