Impact of Information Technology, Animation, Visual Effects and Gaming – a two day national conference which was organised by University of Mysore’s Centre for Information Science and Technology (CIST).
About 200 delegates comprising students, researchers and teachers from different parts of the country participated.
Awareness among the youth about the latest technology and job opportunities in the field of animation, visual effects and gaming was the main purpose of the conference.
Presentations and short films were showcased over the two days from animation companies, training organisations, Information Technology companies and academia. Entries were open from the young creative minds in the fields of short films in animation, visual effects and gaming to encourage them. The best entries submitted were given awards.
Earlier, former Minister B.K. Chandrashekar, who inaugurated the conference, called for inclusivity in education and made out a case for dissemination of knowledge relating to technology and animation among students of all classes in the society.
