Like all Telltale games, this one too is going to be an episodic adventure which is going to be out sometime in 2015 on Xbox, PlayStation, PC’s, Macs, iOS and Android devices. The game won’t have a bloody violence like other Telltale Games and will target the family audience like Minecraft has always been. The story will not be on Steve, the guy from Minecraft but will have new characters added into the adventure and the story will entirely depend on what choices the player makes.
Mojang has released an interactive press release where one has to go through a series of conversations where one receives the news via clicking on the options provided. The release stated: “We’re not intending on creating an ‘official’ story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft in detail. It will be a cool game.”

Telltale Games who have previously created narrative games like The Walking Dead, The Wolf among Us have been superb at narrating stories and have had a different take on the video games with their style.
Minecraft which is already a huge franchise with merchandising (books, toys, clothing and LEGO sets) and a movie which is in the development stage will want to venture into different avenues to engage with the fans. Microsoft which recently acquired Mojang for $2.5 billion are looking at expanding the brand and its already big fan base will be the driving factor for it.
