Maxon is bringing a fresh batch of creative firepower to IBC2026 (International Broadcasting Convention), with Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Redshift, Red Giant and Autograph set to reveal what’s next.
The software company is offering visitors an early look at its upcoming autumn updates at Rai Amsterdam from 11 to 14 September, with the action centred on booth 7.B24 in Hall seven. Alongside new features, Maxon will showcase recent upgrades, workflow demonstrations and artist presentations.
Cinema 4D is getting ready to stretch its creative muscles with a redesigned UV workflow, new Cloner distribution modes and Fabric Brush, which uses simulation to help artists shape soft materials directly in the viewport. Maxon will also preview the next evolution of the 3D software, including new ways to build, populate and simulate complex worlds.
ZBrush is taking sculpting on the move with native Windows on Arm support, direct Substance Painter integration and further ZModeler and pipeline improvements. The next phase will bring the desktop and iPad workflows closer together, cutting down on app-hopping.
Redshift, meanwhile, is stepping on the accelerator. Faster responses to lighting and material changes, smarter memory use and tighter Cinema 4D integration are among the recent improvements. At IBC, Maxon will preview further performance gains, procedural fur and more cinematic colour workflows.
Red Giant is also getting a performance tune-up. Universe effects such as glow, chromatic aberration and RGB separation are being modernised, while Maxon Noise brings Cinema 4D’s procedural noises into universe. The headline act is Scene Light, an AI-powered relighting tool designed to speed up complex lighting changes without taking control away from artists.
Autograph is continuing to build its case as a free professional motion graphics and compositing application. Its latest updates include native access to Red Giant effects, OpenFX support, vertical text and CJK support, alongside a USD-powered 3D workspace that brings 2D and 3D workflows together.
Maxon will preview further improvements to Autograph’s performance, stability and integration at IBC.
The company is also putting its people in the frame. Presentations will feature creative teams from WWE, RTL, Imaginary Forces, Fall Off the Wall and the BBC, alongside Maxon trainers Jonas Pilz, Elly Wade and Chad Perkins. Community events, including Maxon cocktail hours and a Maxon and Lenovo meetup, will round out the programme.
For Maxon, IBC is more than a product showcase. It is a chance to put the tools through their paces, preview what is around the corner and keep creators in the loop. In short, the next big thing is already rendering.
