Director Matt Reeves has revealed a new look of The Batman starring Robert Pattison as the Dark Knight sending ripples of excitement amongst the fandom, promising galore of surprises in-store to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Reeves’ upcoming DC movie The Batman by Warner Bros. is a reboot of the franchise and the filmmaker has been careful about building the much-needed suspense. He just tweeted an image of the caped crusader while greeting the fans on Batman Day.
The image provides a sneak-peak of a scene where we can see the Dark Knight is about to fire his Batclaw. We don’t get to see Batman’s face clearly.
A teaser trailer was released on 23 August 2020, promising a never seen before ’emotional Batman movie’. Pattison’s utterance ‘I am vengeance’ in the trailer sets the tone of the upcoming live-action version. The entire Gotham city looks much more Gothic.
The star cast includes Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Paul Dano as the Riddler and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman. Colin Farrell will be seen as the Penguin. Andy Serkis’ appears as Alfred.
Pattison’s film is being touted as one of the major attractions at DC FanDome 2021. This year’s DC FanDome will be celebrated on 16 October. Batman month is a journey that will culminate in the biggest virtual event throwing spotlight on new movies, games, shows and comics!
The latest edition is now in post-production slated to be released on 4 March 2022 only in theatres.
