Marvel’s ‘WandaVision’ reportedly set to resume filming in July

After being put on hold in March, with many other films, due to the pandemic lockdown, Marvel’s WandaVision is all set to resume filming in July, reportedly. This report comes in a week where the impending series also announced the addition of the American Horror Story mainstay Evan Peters to the superhero show’s cast in an undisclosed role.

Set to air on Disney+, WandaVision adds to the list of co-production projects between Marvel Studios and the streamer with other series such as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki.

WandaVision will follow the events following Avengers: Endgame with its focus on two characters in its Marvel Cinematic Universe in Elizabeth Olsen’s (Wind River) Wanda, or Scarlet Witch, and Bettany’s Vision characters. Additionally, the show will include Randall Park (The Interview, Fresh Off the Boat), Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls), and Teyonah Parris (Mad Men).

WandaVision will be airing its first season on its streaming platform in 2021 after the series’ initial intended December 2020 release. Yet, due to the uncertainty around the show’s date of production completion, there is not an exact release date attached to the superhero program.

Marvel also seems to have big plans for WandaVision, as the company is currently prepping several WandaVision-themed comic collections.
