The adventures of team spidey are set to continue with Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends, renewed for a seventh season on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
The renewal was announced by Disney Jr. head of original programming and strategy Alyssa Sapire during the Celebration of 65 years of Marvel’s Spider-Man! Panel at D23: the ultimate Disney fan event in Anaheim, California, on 15 August 2026.
The preschool series follows Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy as they form team spidey and work together to protect their community. The series has become a major success on Disney+, with nearly 1.3 billion hours streamed globally, making it Marvel’s most-watched TV series on the platform and the longest overall.
Season six of Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends is scheduled to debut in 2027, while season seven will follow in 2028. Season one through four are currently available on Disney+, while season five, which debuted in the US and got selected for international markets last month has recorded the strongest start of any new season since the series’ first season based on hours viewed on Disney+.
The D23 panel also offered a first look at the upcoming special Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up!. Grammy Award- nominated musician Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy) and Este Haim of pop-rock band Haim will voice the villains Jack O’Lantern and Hallows Eve.
Stump, who also serves as the series’ composer and songwriter, has written two new songs for the Halloween special, including Hallows’ Eve Theme. The songs are scheduled for release through Walt Disney Records on 16 August 2026.
The franchise’s popularity also extends beyond television. In 2025, Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends ranked as the third best-selling overall preschool toy license globally, according to Circana. New products inspired by the series from Hasbro and the Lego Group are currently available, alongside books, early readers, comic books and music from Marvel Press, Disney Publishing and Walt Disney Records.
With season six arriving in 2027 and season seven confirmed for 2028, team spidey’s run is set to continue for years to come.
