Marvel has released the first look of the new statues and action figures of few characters of the ‘Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ as in Avengers: Endgame. Of those, Thanos’ statue has a new dual-bladed weapon, beside The Infinity Gauntlet, that very much fits his philosophy that everything must be perfectly balanced that might find its way to the much awaited upcoming film.
Marvel and Diamond Select Toys have partnered to bring these toy statues, the Marvel Movie Milestones to life. The Thanos Resin Statue sits at 16-inches tall and will cost roughly $500. Only 1,000 are being made presently.
The blade surprisingly resembles helicopter blades, which may take reference from Spidey Super Stories #39, where Thanos is actually riding a helicopter with ‘Thanos’ written on it.
What will be interesting is to see if this weapon actually makes it into Avengers: Endgame or if it’s another example of Marvel utilising a similar technique to how it uses manipulated footage in trailers that doesn’t make to the final cut of the film to “preserve the surprise of the narrative.”
Alongside Thanos, Ant-Man, Iron Man MK85, and a Deluxe Hulk will appear as a nine-inch scale figures and on the other hand, Black Widow and Captain America will stand around 12-inches tall. Marvel will also release a line of two-inch-tall ‘MiniMates’ that will feature our heroes in their new suits that are featured in the latest trailer.
While Avengers: Endgame will hit big screens on 26 April, these figures will be launched this summer/fall.
