Even as the marketing campaign for Captain Marvel is going great guns, Marvel has served up a timely reminder – Avengers: Endgame is only two months away!
In what’s arguably the biggest release of the MCU, rumor mill has been fraught with all possible theories and speculations for the upcoming magnum opus as we bid adieu to the first phase of the saga. However, the release is fast approaching as Marvel kick started the countdown on its official Twitter handle with a small promo.
Bereft of any new visions, the clip primarily features certain shots of its earlier teaser trailer which dropped during the Superbowl last month, culminating in the time period that separates us from the movie.
Marvel has opted to keep its cards close to its chest on both occasions so far with highly stealthy teasers that has although stirred up a hornet’s nest on the social media with relentless breakdowns and dissections, hasn’t really revealed anything apart from what we’re already in the know of.
With the release of Captain Marvel just a stone’s throw away, fans can expect a second official trailer in the immediate aftermath. However, it is unlikely to do anything more than just skimming the surface. After all, the catastrophic conclusions of Avengers: Endgame has left such a massive cliffhanger that the studios cannot afford to divulge anything concrete.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame releases on 27 April 2019.
