Marvel, with all its might in all the departments of entertainment is taking advantage of promoting its TV shows and movies and integrating content through different mediums. According to Mashable, Disney owned Marvel, will integrate content from its two TV shows Daredevil and Jessica Jones into two of its most popular mobile games, Marvel Contest of Champions and Marvel Future Fight, which combined have more than 75 million fans.
Marvel Contest of Champions will introduce a new 6 chapter story, which will be commence in mid-November featuring Jessica Jones and Daredevil as the main characters. A new environment NYC Hell’s Kitchen will also be part of the new update – where both Daredevil and Jessica Jones story arcs are based out of.
The 3v3 brawler Marvel Future Fight adds Jessica Jones as a character to its lineup of superheroes, which include The Avengers, Spiderman and many more.
The games have been designed in such a way that it has in-game banners and in-game messages which will lead players directly to the Netflix website and the Marvel shows.
Cross-platform of content is now becoming a common phenomenon and is not just limited to promotion of games or apps, but even to other forms of entertainment as gaming has become mainstream and gaining acceptance from all.
