It’s excellent news for all the Marvel and football fans as the two are coming in together. For this upcoming football season, Marvel Entertainment and New York Jets have partnered to offer various Marvel-themed features to the fans that attend the game at MetLife Stadium. The most eye-catching and outstanding will be the Green Out event against Minnesota Vikings on 21 October. Green Out is a game themed after a fight between Hulk and Thor, and it is presented by Toyota. Fans will be dressed in green and will have a chance to receive Marvel giveaways if they participate.
Here is the catch; just the first 15,000 fans to enter the MetLife Stadium for the game will receive the Hulk-themed bobble head that features the iconic Marvel character standing on the Jets field. The Jets will also release a 16-page Hulk vs. Thor comic which is written by Fabian Nicieza. Moreover, 55,000 posters of the comic book cover will be given to fans as they exit the stadium at the end of the game. A Toyota vehicle wrapped with Hulk-themed imagery will be displayed at the stadium.
“We are excited to announce our new partnership with Marvel Entertainment,” said Jets President Neil Glat. “We are always looking for creative, new experiences and ideas for our fans, and we look forward to working with an iconic brand like Marvel.”
In addition to the Green Out game, the Jets and Marvel will also release an eight-page, digital-only comic book to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Super Bowl III in advance of the team’s game against the Indianapolis Colts on 14 October. The first chapter of the book will be made available on Wednesday, 10 October on the official New York Jets app and the website.
