Marvel Entertainment recently announced a new animated LEGO special titled, LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom, at New York Comic Con 2018. This animated special will continue Marvel’s and The LEGO Group’s successful collaboration over the years.
Slated to premiere in 2019, LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom, will revolve around a drastic increase in tech theft in New York City, thanks to infamous villains Venom and Green Goblin. The superhero plunges into action to figure out what they plan to do with the stolen equipment and put a stop to whatever evil scheme it is they have planned.
Vexed by Venom has noted names on board as the voice cast starring Robbie Daymond as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Ben Pronsky as Venom, Josh Keaton as Green Goblin, Laura Bailey as Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider, and Tara Strong as Mary Jane.
Daymond, Pronsky, Keaton and Bailey all reprise their respective roles from the Disney XD animated series Marvel’s Spider-Man. Tara Strong reprises her role as Mary Jane Watson from Disney XD’s Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel Rising: Initiation.
LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom follows LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload, LEGO Marvel Superheroes: Avengers Reassembled, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – Guardians of the Galaxy: The Thanos Threat and Lego Marvel Super Heroes – Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda.
