Justice League Snyder Cut is all set to feature a different aspect ratio and sky colour

HBO announced Zack Snyder’s original cut of Justice League last month. The movie will show a different story and an appearance by Darkseid, which was not a part  of the theatrical release. Along with these, the Snyder cut will have some visual and technical changes.

Snyder has disclosed some of these changes while interacting with fans on Vero. /Film has pointed out that Snyder will change the orange-red colour of the sky in the final battle sequence. Changes like this could potentially improve the quality of visuals in the movie.

Between the various details that Zack Snyder revealed about what his version of Justice League would have been prior to the announcement of the new project, and the bits and pieces that we’ve been given since, we may end up with a pretty solid idea of what Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be before we see it, but that won’t replace actually seeing it, which will happen sometime in 2021 on HBO Max

Snyder has also confirmed on Vero (via Reddit) that the movie will use a 1.66.1 aspect ratio, commonly known as European Widescreen. It was recently used in Netflix’s Marriage Story. According to The Direct, this aspect ratio will add black bars on the left and right sides of the screen throughout the movie, which will make the scenes look taller compared to the theatrical release.
