The epic story of the classic cult Samurai Jack that won million hearts across the globe will return to air on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in 2016. The legendary mind, Genndy Tartakovsky, created the animated series as his own beloved baby to portray an in-depth story in a very subtle yet eloquent way.
After 10 of years of silence, the production of the animated series is now already under way at Cartoon Network Studios in Los Angeles. Samurai Jack debuted in 2001 on Cartoon Network as a brainchild of Genndy Tartokovsky who is the creator of exemplary works like Hotel Transylvania, Dexter’s Laboratory, Star Wars: Clone Wars and many more hits.
The animated series depicts the story of a simple fighter or rather ‘Samurai’ named Jack who is on a weird escapade of the future. Jack is on his adventurous journey solving traditional riddles and revealing secrets. And, this journey takes him to face unexpected milestones, but a Samurai always reigns! And where there is ‘Good’ there has to be something bad, something evil; so evil demon Aku has sent Jack into the distant future and creates hurdles on his path of retreat. However, Jack strives to find his way back to his own time by facing all the insidious obstacles.
The Samurai thoroughly entertained both the young and the old by its simplicity, art of storytelling, creative art work and crisp 2D animation that grab your attention and make you wait for the next episode. The series aired on Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2004 creating a constant viewership which was growing day by day. However, it was then stopped in 2004 after having aired 52 episodes. But, now when it is back after 10 years of eager wait, definitely the Samurai is going to rule the hearts of viewers once again and enchant the new generation.
