The recent controversies around iPhone 6 have just made phones all the more irresistible. With midnight sales planned for the prospective buyers to come to the store and collect their pre-order phones and also buy on the spot have gone very well.
The first batch of 55,000 phones shipped to India has been sold out. With all the distributors confirming the news, iPhone 6 has been the biggest draw for Indian fans. Apple India plans to ship more 25,000 units in next couple of days and capture the current festive season.
The sale was held on 16 October and has been a success, with Samsung announcing similar sale on the same night. The iPhone in India is available through four authorized dealers: Redington, Ingram Micro, Rashi Peripherals and Reliance.
iPhone 6 is available in India from Rs 53,500 onwards for 16 GB version and the 6 Plus for Rs 62,500 onwards. Apple and Samsung are capturing the premium market with flagship phones and Indian audience is lapping on these devices generously.
