Injustice: Gods Among Us was released initially on April 2013. The game was set in the backdrop of an alternate reality, where the Joker tricks Superman in killing Louis Lane and their child. Thus, Superman establishes a unified world government and takes the crown of the ruler, thus bringing about somewhat of an effective dictatorship in action. Batman leads a group of heroes against Superman, including Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and more. The game even inspired a series of comics, which is scheduled to come to a closure this year. Apart from it’s console versions, the game also had an android version of itself.
Now, there have been speculations that the creators of the game, NetherRealm will be releasing the second installment of the game, Injustice: 2 in 2017. But recently, according to a report by Polygon, sources close to them sent in a poster of the upcoming game which features, Batman and Flash getting battle-ready against each other and the sub title below reads, “Every battle defines you”. It will likely be launched over Xbox One and PS4, and run on the engine of Mortal Kombat X.
As reported by Polygon, the posters are supposed to be given away as pre-order bonuses on a first come first serve basis. NetherRealm’s creative director, Ed Boon seemed not so happy with the alleged leak and took to twitter, somewhat confirming the leak.

Although the publishers of the game, Warner Bros. do not have a press conference scheduled at E3 where the game is being speculated to be released, it can be promoted by Sony or Microsoft. It is also being speculated that the game might be announced before E3 this year; we have to wait and see how it unfolds.
