With jury members hailing – both from India and abroad – giving their verdict, the event will see a powerful line-up starting with Jellyfish Pictures CEO Phil Dobree’s keynote surrounding VFX in the post-pandemic age.
Dobree will be providing insight into the future of visual effects and animation studios in a post Covid-19 world. Having pioneered the adoption of virtual studios, using the cloud and technologies such as Teradici’s PCoIP to create one of the most scalable and flexible studios in the world, Phil will talk about the benefits of a blended studio. The blended way of working sees facilities harnessing the power, security and agility of cloud and virtual technologies, enabling a global reach to talent, and the ability to take on the best projects, without having to commit to costly on-prem hardware or physical studio space. Dobree will take you on Jellyfish’s journey and demonstrate how the way they work has changed forever.
It will be followed by an exclusive presentation and discussion by Autodesk India & SAARC technical solutions specialist M & E Samit Shetty, Futureworks Media pipelines specialist Siddharth Basu and Futureworks Media founder & CEO Gaurav Gupta.
The day will also be graced by Digital Domain 3.0 VFX producer Praveen Kilaru and VFX producer Suresh Guttula who will dive into some of the most challenging shots and the techniques that were deployed to create the imagery.
SpeedGaze CEO Upen Desai will also be presenting about his company.
With an elite round-up of some of the best minds of the VFX industry, the VAM Awards will see a definitive interaction amongst all the advisory committee members who helped weave together this VFX extravaganza. They will be seen discussing “Indian VFX Industry: Vision 2025”.
