Online video streaming company Hulu has extended its distribution partnership with Viacom under which it will expand its kids TV channel Nickelodean’s shows like ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ and ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ including their Spanish feeds as well.
Hulu will also continue to stream other shows from Viacom properties like Comedy Central, VH1, MTV, Spike and others. This deal strengthens the partnership between the two parties that was first offered in 2011.
In addition to Spongebob and TMNT, Hulu will be adding ‘Invader Zim’, ‘Hey Arnorld’ and ‘Drake & Josh’ among the other shows in their Hulu Kids section.
Amazon.com, which through its Prime Instant Video still has higher number of Viacom content under the deal it signed with the media company last year. It includes kids programs like ‘Bubble Guppies’, ‘Team Umizoomi’, ‘Blue’s Clues’ and ‘Victorious’.
Hulu is an online video streaming ad supported website which supports hit TV Shows, clips and trailers and even their own unique shows. It is a joint venture of NBCUniversal Television Group, Fox Broadcasting Company and Disney-ABC Television Group. It has a number of networks partnering them to provide content online and is currently offered only to users in United States and its overseas territories.
