Fresh off the heels of Cyberpunk 2077 being revealed, E3 2019 gave the audience another treat by revealing a new story trailer for Halo Infinite and confirmation that it’ll be an Xbox Scarlet launch title in Holiday 2020.
Halo Infinite is in the works at 343 Industries, and it runs on the studio’s brand-new Slipspace game engine. Studio director Chris Lee graced the Inside Xbox live stream at E3 where he spoke about how 343’s bold ambition for Halo Infinite might not have been possible with the Halo franchise’s previous game engine. He also elaborated about how the Slipspace engine is aimed at supporting Halo titles for ten years to come.
Halo Infinite is a launch title for Xbox Scarlett, but it will also play on any of the Xbox One family of consoles. And in a big move for the franchise, Halo Infinite will be available on PC.
