After creating various short animation movies like Nanha Nattu and Adventures of Eklavaya, for renowned channels like Pogo and Cartoon Network respectively, Gateway aniMedia Works (GMW) is all set to launch its new IPs at MIPCOM 2014.
“We are attending MIPCOM this year for the first time, in order to explore business opportunities and showcase our IPs. Our main focus would be to establish ‘Strategic partners’ in different geographies,” revealed Gateway aniMedia Works, CEO Rahul Gadiya to AnimationXpress.com.
As earlier reported by us Gateway aniMedia Works was born out of a JV between Media Flavours and Gateway TechnoLabs. It focuses on delivering services to international as well as national clients in the animation space and is equipped to handle all areas pertaining to animation from ‘script to screen’. It offers services for 2D animation films for main stream media, E-Learning content development and Motion Comics.
“MIPCOM is the biggest market place for production houses, buyers and sellers. With our extended reach and presence of native leadership in various geographies we will be able to deliver beyond the expectations. We are taking along with us couple of IPs, out of which four are international co-production,” explained Rahul.
Gajnikant, Dhasoo Jasoos and Bounce are few of the IPs GWM is taking along to Cannes, along with The Nomes, The Witch’s Book, The Man Hunter and King Neo’s Lions that are international co-production projects.
“We already have 50 plus meetings lined up for MIPCOM. We are meeting various buyers for our IPs who already have got a first look into the teasers and special previews. We have also received proposals for co-production of IPs and motion comics from various parts of the world and we have animation services related work meetings lined up with few production house,” beamed a confident first-timer for the mega content market exhibition.
