Ask a Game of Thrones maniac about Season 6 and he will tell you about everything that is out there a fan should know. Scarce details of whether Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) is alive or will Melisandre resurrect him; Queen Khaleesi’s (Emilia Clarke) fate at the hands of Dothraki people; Lannisters’ fight against the High Sparrow and his army of branded sparrows.
On Sunday night, HBO hosted a premiere for the first episode in LA and along with it released a new trailer for season six. The trailer not only gives a glimpse of the dead Jon Snow but also points towards the already looming war that hangs on everyone’s head, be it the Lannisters, the Ramseys, the Greyjoys, the Martells and even the Night Watch, each House will have part of the action that is promised this season.
Also, fringe characters Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) (who was last seen in season four) and Arya Stark (Masie Williams) pave their own paths gaining control over their own abilities, and troubled sister Sansa (Sophie Turner) who has fled Winterfell with Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), this season does have a lot for Stark clan to handle.
With the trailer, three short clips too surfaced on internet each giving limited details of the three lands and the characters that shape those lands.
In the first clip, Cersie Lannister, now back after the same walk meets her brother/lover, Jamie, and asks if he recalls the first time he saw a dead body and grieving about her daughter Myrcella. In the second clip, Khaleesi is brought to the Dothraki’s stronghold and looks weak against the humongous army. In the third and final clip, we see Sansa and Theon making a dash through a snow covered forest, maybe running away from the Ramsey army.
The latest season of Game of Thrones is set to premiere on HBO on 24 April and will later air in India on Star World Premiere HD on 26 April at 10 pm.
