Frozen 2 was one of the major reasons why Disney dominated 2019 box-office with the studio grosses reaching a record-breaking $3.76 billion domestic and $11.1 billion worldwide. This excludes the recently acquired 20th Century Fox, which would push the total to $4.3 billion domestic with a 37 per cent market share and $13.1 billion worldwide.
And that’s not all! Disney will likely lead the global charts in 2020 as well with films like Mulan and Black Widow. Walt Disney Animation Studios, under the new creative direction of Frozen co-director Jennifer Lee, will be creating original titles with Raya and the Last Dragon, to be released in November.
