From beasts to metahumans, watch everything that was showcased at San Diego Comic-Con 2016

The biggest comic convention, San Diego Comic-Con just got over and surely gave us a lot to talk about. The four day con witnessed a massive turnout of more than 100,000 attendees who got to witness some major trailer and teaser releases from the two major comic book giants, DC and Marvel.

Even though many major studies gave Comic-Con a miss, no fan can deny the fact that they were in for a treat this year as Disney owned Marvel and its rival, DC Comics, managed to lure the attendees with their TV shows and movies – teasers, trailers and A-list stars.

Among the absentees were 20th Century Fox, Legendary Pictures and Lionsgate, leaving Warner Bros and Marvel to dominate proceedings.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

A spin-off/prequel of the Harry Potter film series and directed by David Yates, the film will be the first installment of a trilogy. A Warner Bros. Studios production, this film is set to release on 18 November 2016.

Kong: Skull Island

Kong: Skull Island reimagines the origin of the mythic Kong in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—as beautiful as it is treacherous—unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

The feature film version of the classic King Arthur story, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword will hit the theatres on 24 March, 2017.

Marvel movies

Doctor Strange

If you thought the first teaser trailer was psychedelic, this one will make your mind’s blow away. The trailer is something Marvel fans would have never imagined off as it’s the most trippiest and visually grasping video where we observe the Sorcerer Supreme learning the ways of magic, and lots of ‘Inception’-like folding cities.
The movie is set to release on 4 November, 2016.

Marvel TV Series

Though Marvel released trailer of just one movie, they managed to release teasers and trailers of their upcoming shows on Netflix and FX.

Luke Cage

All episodes of Luke Cage are set to premiere on Netflix on 30 September, 2016.

Iron Fist

Iron Fist is scheduled to release on Netflix in 2017.

The Defenders

The Defenders will be a miniseries crossover of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist and is set to premiere on Netflix  in 2017.

Legion

Legion follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.
Legion debuts in early 2017 and is produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television.

DC Comics movies

The LEGO Batman Movie

The LEGO Batman Movie, a spin off of the film The LEGO Movie, just like its teaser trailer, the trailer will also set you on a roll. Batman’s sidekick, Robin makes his appearance in this new trailer and will surely make you laugh.
The movie is set to debut on 10 February, 2017.

Suicide Squad

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment released Suicide Squad – Official Comic-Con Soundtrack Remix which is no less than a trailer wherein the villain is clearly defined and we get to catch a glimpse of Batman and his batmobile.
The ‘Worst Heroes Ever’ are set to make their mark on theatres on 5 August, 2016.

Wonder Woman

It was about time for Wonder Woman to get her own trailer.
The Amazonian princess is set to rule our world on 2 June, 2017.

Justice League

WIth Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman each getting a new trailer, how can Justice League be left behind. A special Comic-Con footage was released of Justice League wherein Bruce Wayne can been assembling the Justice League team. Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg and Wonder Woman make their appearances in this 2:45 minutes footage; however Superman and Green Lantern give it a miss (probably building up the suspense).
Justice League is set to hit the theatres in November 2017.

DC Comics TV series

The Flash – Season 3

Everything in Barry’s world has changed to become…Flashpoint. The Flash premieres on The CW on 4 October, 2016 on The CW.

Arrow – Season 5

Forced to rebuild, Oliver tries to make vigilantes into heroes on the new season of Arrow, premiering on 5 October on The CW.

Legends of Tomorrow – Season 2

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow is set to premier on 13 October, 2016 on The CW.
