Framestore appoints VFX veteran Arek Komorowski as VFX supervisor

Framestore has named Arek Komorowski as VFX supervisor at its Vancouver studio, where he will work with top directors to determine the best creative and technical approaches for producing visual effects. Having most recently served in the role at Pixomondo, the industry veteran brings over 20+ years of industry experience. His latest projects included Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi movie Moonfall.

Before Pixomondo, Komorowski was at Scanline VFX, working on titles such as Terminator: Dark Fate, Black Panther, and Aquaman. He previously spent four years at Method, which has since been integrated into Framestore, supervising titles including Spider-Man: Homecoming and Captain America: Civil War. He began his career as an artist, first in paint/roto and then as a compositor at several VFX studios, including MPC, Cinesite, and Weta Digital.
