Fnatic unveils ‘Fnatic Rising’ in India and web series to record the journey of next ‘PUBG’ icon

The reality web series based on gaming to commence. Fnatic India and Pocket Aces’ LOCO jointly announced today the launch of Fnatic Rising in India. This is a programme that Fnatic has conducted globally and now they have officially launched it in India to sift out the next PUBG icon.

“It is a seven and a half to eight months programme where we will scan the entire country and go to entire nooks and corner of the country to identify the best PUBG players,” said Fnatic India lead Nimish Raut.

With this LOCO enters into a long-term partnership with global esports organisation, Fnatic, for the Indian gaming ecosystem.The two companies believe that esports content is in a nascent stage and the coming together of two organizations with strong content pedigree will deliver unparalleled entertainment to gaming fans in India.

There will be multiple phases after which the top ten contestants will be selected and will be flown to Bombay. Then they will be part of Fnatic and LOCO studio and will not only be trained on PUBG skills but also be trained on how to become professional gaming content creators like streamers and they will also be provided with the support for social media to grow their fan base. The winner will also get an official Fnatic contract for 2021 and the rest of the players will continue with LOCO as streamers.

The main aim behind this programme is to sift out India’s next talent like OWAIS, Jonathan, and Scout. The Age limit to participate in the programme is between 18 to 23 years and this will be a LOCO original web series. On 25 June the registration for Fnatic Rising will commence anyone fulfilling the age criteria will be able to apply.

The tournament will be made into a content piece as LOCO will create seven or eight episodes of web series which will go live as the journey of the next PUBG player in the country. The top ten contestants will come under the pro contract.
