Delhi based Nayi Disha Studios, an educational gaming start-up which uses Motion sensing tech to develop educational games, has raised a seed funding of Rs 2 crore from CX Partners managing partner Ajay Relan.
The company is planning to expand across India and international markets, particularly in the Middle East, Singapore and APAC regions with the newly raised fund. The company is also looking at selling the product through retail stores as well as online.
Founded in 2012 by Kushal Bhagia and Kartik Aneja, Nayi Disha Studios provides motion sensor-based learning apps spread across a range of subjects including math, languages and general knowledge. It uses motion sensing technology to build educational computer games for school and pre-school students. With such games, the company is aiming to make learning fun and engaging.
It creates educational games for primary school children with focus on the syllabus. It also provides end to end solution to the school which includes providing hardware, installation, teacher training and support.
Nayi Disha co-founder of Kartik Aneja, said, “The demand is huge. Children obviously have different cognitive abilities, and there are a lot of schools today that have recognized this, and have responded well. We’ve created about 30 apps so far, and are now looking to break into the consumer market as well. We’re looking at selling the product in brick-and-mortar retail stores as well as online.”
The company claims to have partnered with many schools and pre-schools in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, etc.
