Disney Channel has ordered a third season of DuckTales prior to the second season of the animated series premiering on 20 October on Disney Channel, DisneyNOW and Disney Channel VOD.
The DuckTales cast also includes Toks Olagundoye, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett and Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck. Guest-stars for season two include Julie Bowen, Edgar Wright, Jack McBrayer, John Hodgman, Jameela Jamil, Libe Barer, Lance Reddick, Paget Brewster, Bernardo de Paula and Arturo del Puerto.
The animated comedy-adventure series sees the adventures of Duckburg’s trillionaire Scrooge McDuck, his triplet grandnephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, nephew Donald Duck and the McDuck Manor team which includes McQuack, Mrs. Beakley and Mrs. Beakley’s granddaughter, Webby Vanderquack, resident adventurer and the triplet’s newfound friend.
The first season of DuckTales garnered nearly 100 million views on social media and digital platforms. The series’ brand extensions include toys, books, apparel, plush and collectibles from Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products and will see new product line in spring 2019. The series is a production of Disney Television Animation and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
The series are executive produced by Matt Youngberg, with Francisco Angones serving as the co-producer and story editor, and Sean Jimenez sitting in the art director’s chair.
