DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show’ to make its debut on Netflix

DreamWorks Animation 3D movie that came out last year, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, is once again getting its own animated television series Mr. Peabody and the Sherman Show which will make its debut on Netflix on 9 October, 2015. Directed by Rob Minkoff (co-director of The Lion King), the series displays the story of the smartest dog ‘Mr. Peabody’ with his little boy ‘Sherman’. The duo hosts a late night talk show from their swanky New York City penthouse in front of a live audience. Adventure is an integral part of this animated series so the duo also travel back in time in their exclusive time machine called WABAC to interview historical figures like Cleopatra, Napoleon and George Washington.

History often seems boring and never ending to children but these two characters make history interesting with their creative touch as the historical figures impart tremendous information to the viewers in an entertaining way. In short, ‘One can watch history in a fun animated series rather than reading fat boring books!’ which makes history easy to remember.

The witty dog character Mr. Peabody has appeared in the television animated series Rocky and the Bullwinkle Show produced by Jay Ward in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Thus, the character has imprinted a vivid image in the minds of the viewers since then and with this new series both the characters are on the roll to educate and entertain the audience.

The character Mr. Peabody is voiced by Chris Parnell of Rick and Morty and Sherman is voiced by Max Charles who played the young Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man. This DreamWorks Animation Television’s and Netflix deal will reportedly have 78-episodes .
