‘Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen’ teams up with ‘Delicious in Dungeon’ for a monster-sized crossover

Dungeon-crawling just got tastier. Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is joining forces with anime series Delicious in Dungeon for a crossover that brings two of its fan-favourite characters into the game. Players can recruit Laios and Marcille as support characters, dress up in their signature outfits and take a little anime flavour into their next adventure.

Announced on 3 November, the collaboration is live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the hybrid video game console Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving on 12 November. The event will run until the title update on 28 January 2027 across all platforms.

Players can recruit official pawns Laios and Marcille by visiting riftstones. These support characters will be available only for the duration of the collaboration, disappearing when the 28 January update arrives.

Their outfits, however, are here to stay. Laios and Marcille’s costumes will be added automatically to players’ inventories during the event and remain available even after the crossover ends. So while the characters may leave the party, their wardrobe will not.

The collaboration brings together two worlds built around perilous dungeons and unusual encounters. In Delicious in Dungeon, Laios and his party face a rather unconventional survival challenge after a dragon attack leaves them short of supplies. Their solution? Cook and eat the monsters they encounter along the way, from slimes and basilisks to dragons.

Meanwhile, the anime is preparing for another serving. Season two will be directed by Yoshihiro Miyajima at Studio Trigger, with Kimiko Ueno handling series composition, Naoki Takeda designing the characters and Yasunori Mitsuda composing the music. The new season is scheduled to premiere worldwide on Netflix in October 2027.

For now, players can bring Laios and Marcille along for the adventure, with a little monster-hunting and dungeon dining on the side. Just remember: in this crossover, the monsters may be formidable, but they could also be on the menu.
