Published by PlayStack and developed by Maze Theory, the new interactive VR game transports users to a whole new dimension which is not only inhibited by aliens and other fascinating creatures, but also mind-bending puzzles and mazes for the users to wrap their heads around.
And that’s not all, for it’s not all rosy in the garden. Users will also come up with a challenge of finding the Doctor and subsequently defeat a powerful but sinister force that’s threatening the universe.
BBC’s head of digital entertainment and games, Bradley Crooks remarked, “VR is the perfect home for a truly immersive Doctor Who adventure. Fans and newcomers alike will be able to experience the universe of Doctor Who like never before, working with the Doctor and facing enemies new and old. Gaming is a key part of the future of Doctor Who and allows us to tell new and exciting stories beyond the TV screen.”

Doctor Who: The Edge of Time is loosely inspired by the live-action series of the same name, and will launch on launch on PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, Oculus, HTC Vive and Vive Cosmos in September 2019.
