After crashing the box office records with its Alice in Wonderland film, Disney is all set to once again swoon its audiences with the sequel of Lewis Carroll’s novel, Alice Through the Looking Glass. The film is directed by James Bobin, written by Linda Woolverton and is produced by Tim Burton.
Disney recently launched the film’s first teaser trailer that shows lead actress Mia Wasikowska opening a door in the sky and falling through the clouds that opens up to reveal a landscape of green fields. Whereas in the other teaser, we can see a blue bird seen swooping across Alice’s house and teleports to the other side of the mirror, leaving Alice bemused.
Not revealing much about the film, we can safely say the theme of the film will be, ‘Life itself is nothing but a dream.’ The film features many returning cast members including Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Matt Lucas, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry and Anne Hathaway. Alice Through the Looking Glass is set to be released in cinemas on 27 May 2016.
