Discovery Kids presents the all-time favourite character of Charlie Chaplin in a brand new avatar for kids in the animated series Chaplin. The new series retains the charm of Charlie Chaplin while making it attractive to kids as well as adults of all ages.
Viewing life through his spectrum of humour, Chaplin will take kids on a merry ride bringing into play his amusing ideas and witty tricks while dealing with not so pleasant occurrences in daily life.
A regular day just cannot be ordinary in Chaplin’s life, and this is simply because of how he instils joyfulness in every event that he faces. Being acutely clumsy and naïve are certainly not very helpful personality traits, especially when dealing with a grouchy boss or shaking off a bunch of over-zealous cops. But our hero Chaplin, with his toothbrush moustache, armed with his trademark cane and bowler hat, is always ready to face whatever life has to throw at him.
Against all odds, Chaplin overcomes the trials and tribulations of daily life with humour, dignity and a spirit of adventure. Chaplin’s laughter towards his misfortunes is infectious and fills the viewers with an optimistic sense of looking at the lows of life.
The series has been produced by DQ Entertainment back in 2010 and aired for the first time in France in 31 December, 2011 on France 3, and next in Boomerang and La Trois.
