DC has announced a new daily news show on the DC Universe service titled DC Daily. It will also have livestream introduction which will be hosted by director and comic book writer Kevin Smith.
DC Daily will offer news and insights on upcoming DC projects, from comics, TV and movies to web series and DC Universe exclusives. It will also have guest appearances, interviews and panel discussions featuring some of the known voices from DC Universe. The subscription service will make available full episodes of the program and select segments will be released to additional online channels.
The livestream inauguration will happen on 29 August, which will be hosted by Smith, intorducing fans to the format, sets and exclusive content that can be expected from DC Daily. The livestream will be available on DC’s Facebook, Twitch and YouTube channels.
DC Daily will be filmed and streamed daily from a new 2,100-square-foot set built especially for the show at a Warner Bros. Digital Networks studio location in Burbank. The sets include original large-format panel artwork of iconic DC characters, as well as conversational seating, demonstration stations and stand-up viewing areas for hosts, guest commentators and special guests.
The additional fan features include opportunities to connect with others in the DC community, earn premium rewards and participate in sweepstakes and contests at DC Universe.
