Giant production houses launching their own streaming service is becoming the new norm. And months after Disney’s announcement of its own streaming service, rival DC has stepped up too, gearing up for the launch of DC Universe.
Ironically, there hasn’t been a proper DC Universe when it comes to movies, but at least, the fans can now rejoice that some of their favourite shows and films under the DC banner would all be available on one platform. It’s official Twitter handle made the announcement today with the promise of exciting free membership of up to three months on pre-order.
Launching on the Batman Day of 15 September, DC Universe guarantees free access to some of the popular animated flicks such as Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and Batman: The Dark Knight, as well as TV classics such as Batman: The Animated Series and Wonder Woman in HD for the first time. And if nostalgia hits you, you can also switch over to some old gems such as Superman: The Movie, Batman Returns etc that played with our fantasies during our childhood days.
The comic fandom can catch all the action on digital comics as the platform has curated some of the best collections of the DC verse.
However, with new live-action series Titans also being announced, the fans can binge on the highly anticipated upcoming show here at the DC Universe as all episodes would be available for streaming, with a new one hitting platform each week. Also, upcoming animated television series such as Young Justice: Outsiders, Doom Patrol Swamp Thing and Harley Quinn would follow suit next year.
